Welcome to the website of St Aidan’s parish, Wishaw. Our parish is situated in the west of Scotland, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Motherwell, and serves around 2000 souls in the town.
The parish is approaching its half-century, the first parish priest having been appointed in February 1960. Our parish boundaries coincide with those of St Mark’s Church of Scotland parish, and over the years we have developed a friendship with St Mark’s, holding regular church services and occasional social gathering with the two parish communities.
We currently have two parish clergy, Fr Joseph Clements and Fr Francis King. As well as having his parish duties, Fr King is also chaplain to Wishaw General Hospital.
